IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL This Notice Applies to Your Recreational Vehicle VIN Name Address City, St. Zip Dear Valued Customer: This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Jayco Inc. has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain model year 2021 to 2022 Jayco Northpoint and Pinnacle fifth-wheels equipped with Sailun brand tires. Sailun Tire Americas, Inc. (Sailun) reported that due to a steel belt package design change the affected tires may experience a tread belt separation or tread delamination. If any customer is in possession of the recalled tires, they are advised to discontinue use immediately. Belt separation and tread delamination could lead to loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash. Sailun will replace the tires free of charge. The repair will take approximately 2 hours to complete. Please contact Sailun Tire Americas at 844-281-9696. They can assist you with locating a repair shop that can replace your tires. Federal regulations require that any vehicle lessor receiving this recall notice must forward a copy of this notice to the lessee within ten days. If you had this repair completed prior to receipt of this recall notice, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for the cost of obtaining a pre-notification remedy of the problem associated with this recall. If you take your recreational vehicle to your dealer on the agreed service date and the dealer does not remedy this condition please contact our Customer Service Department at 800-283-8267. Address : 1 Kenview Boulevard Brampton Foreign States L6T 5E6 Country : Canada Chronology : 1/17/2022 Jayco Compliance received a letter from our supplier Tredit Tire & Wheel Company, Inc. stating that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain Sailun Speciality Trailer (ST) branded tires. Sailun Tire Americas has not provided a chronology of events that were the basis for their determination that the defect related to motor vehicle safety, warranty claims, field or service reports or other information. 1/27/2022 Warranty Incident Review Committee (WIRC) discussed this incident and elevated to the Corrective and Preventive Action Committee (CPAC). 1/19/2022 CPAC met to discuss this incident and elevated this incident to the Safety Steering Committee (SSC). On 1/27/2022 SSC met and voted that a safety recall was appropriate for this incident. Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : Sailun will replace the tires free of charge. Repairs made prior to the recall will be reimbursed in accordance with our Recall Reimbursement Plan on file with NHTSA.
