KZ-2022-03 – Incorrect Tire Information on Tire Placard – 2021 KZRV Escape Travel Trailers

IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL This notice applies to your vehicle: «VIN» «Owner_name» «Street» «City», «State» «Zip» Dear «Owner_name»: This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. KZRV has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2021 Escape models. As a result, KZRV is conducting a safety recall. We apologize for any inconvenience this action may cause you; however, your safety and continued satisfaction are of the utmost importance to us. The vehicles subject to this recall were built with an incorrect tire placard label. The inflation values on this label are too high and if followed will result in overinflated tires which may result in a tire explosion that causes property damage, personal injury or death. This repair will be done at no cost to you. The remedy is to replace the tire placard label. The repair should take approximately 10 minutes to complete. This repair will be done at no cost to you. You should contact your selling dealer immediately to schedule a service appointment to have the defect repaired in your vehicle. If you had appropriate repairs completed prior to receipt of this recall notice, and if you incurred any direct cost in connection with obtaining such repair, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement from KZRV by contacting the KZRV Warranty/Service Department.
