Identification of Any Warning that can Occur : Possible diesel fuel smell, visual sign of fuel leak Involved Components : Component Name 1 : ITR Fuel Heater, Oasis Heater Component Description : Heater Component Part Number : 2349 Supplier Identification : Component Manufacturer Name : International Thermal Research Address : 2431 Simposon Rd Part 573 Safety Recall Report 22V-583 Page 4 The information contained in this report was submitted pursuant to 49 CFR §573 Richmond, BC Foreign States V6X2R2 Country : Canada Chronology : Newmar Corporation is reporting this recall following an initial supplier quality alert on 2/14/22, on 2/17/22 the issue was sent to the warranty control committee to be reviewed for a possible submittal to the product safety committee, Newmar continued to work with ITR to determine how many units they had affected with this issue and if they would be filing a recall on these heaters, on 7/13/22 ITR informed Newmar they would handling the issue with a technical bulletin for repairs and not submitting a recall, on 7/28/22 the Newmar product safety committee meet again on the issue and decided to move forward with a recall as ITR had decided they would only be handling the issue with the technical service bulletin. Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : Newmar Corporation will be conducting this recall in its entirety. Units identified as having the incorrect fuel hose will have a new appropriate fuel hose installed. All repairs will be at no cost to customer. If the customer has had the repair performed before receiving this letter, they may be eligible to receive reimbursement for the cost of obtaining a prenotification remedy.
