Steering Cross Shaft Malfunction
Universal joint separation can cause a loss of steering control, and increase the risk of a crash.

Summary
Dennis Eagle Inc. (Dennis Eagle) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Proview Dual Steer vehicles. The steering cross shaft fitted between two bevel boxes was not properly fitted, causing the universal joint to separate from the bevel box.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and repair the steering cross shaft, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 15, 2022. Owners may contact Dennis Eagle’s customer service at 1-813-440-8136. Dennis Eagle’s number for this recall is FS11647-CP011.

Dennis Eagle Inc. has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety needs checking. Accordingly a recall to address this issue is being initiated effective Sep 22.
The defect involves the steering cross shaft which is fitted between two bevel boxes, we have had an instance where it was not fitted correctly on the L/H side and the universal joint parted from the bevel box. If you were driving from them R/H side you could lose steering.
Please contact your local dealer to arrange this free of charge rework quoting CP011.
The rework can either be carried out at your premises or at the dealerships depending on your requirements.
Safety Risk Loss of steering could lead to the driver struggling to control the vehicle which could lead to an increased risk of either crash, injury or fire.

Chronology :
DE Inc took a phone call from a dealer describing what had happened whilst he was driving the truck, he noticed that the R/H steering wheel had stopped turning when the L/H steering wheel was being turned. They stripped the vehicle down, found the problem and rectified the issue
