LLC IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL This notice applies to your vehicle, NHTSA Recall No. 22V-777 This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. HD TRAILER MFG, LLC has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in ce1iain 102’x40″ Mega ramp/2022/NON-CDL GOOSENECK trailers. WHY DOES MY TRAILER NEED REPAIRS? The 7K besser pro axles may break due an improper weld on the axle tube, increasing the risk of a crash without prior warning. WHATWIIL YOURDEALEROO? Your dealer will replace the defective axle, free of charge. The repair should take approximately 8 hours to complete. However, due to scheduling, your dealer may require your trailer for longer. Your dealer should be able to provide a more accurate repair estimate. WHAT SHOULD YOU DO? Please contact your local authorized dealer and schedule an appointment for your free repair as soon as possible. To find your nearest dealer, contact us directly. FMVSS 1 : NR FMVSS 2 : NR Description of the Safety Risk : The spindle has a risk to sheer off while driving down the road due to the defective weld. This was the 7K 78HF 54SC axles. Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : HD Trailer is working with Besser Pro to replace all defective axles involved. At this point of the process, we have successfully replaced 90 percent of the axles. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : Besser Pro has addressed the issue of the defective welds and has fixed this issue. Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : Besser Pro reached out to HD Trailer about the defective axles, but HD Trailer wasn’t aware of the recall until we were notified by email from NHTSA.
