Involved Components : Component Name 1 : Steering Wheel Component Description : Steering Wheel Component Part Number : NR Supplier Identification : Component Manufacturer Name : Steering Creations, Inc Address : 519 SW 31st Ave Ocala Florida 34474 Country : United States Chronology : 8/16/22 – Newmar received notice that a customer had an issue with the steering wheel coming loose. This was investigated and it was found that the cap screws under the steering wheel had worked loose. The steering wheel was fixed at the Newmar Service Center when it was determined what the cause of the loose steering wheel was. 10/31/22 – Newmar production noticed several steering wheels felt loose, 6 units in production were found with loose steering wheels and were fixed prior to leaving production with instructions from the steering wheel supplier, Steering Creations, Inc. 11/28/22 – The loose steering wheel issue was brought to the Safety Committee for review and it was decided to issue a recall for all units that have used the steering wheel supplied by Steering Creations, Inc. Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : All units will have the cap screws removed and then re-install the steering wheel cap screws with Loctite applied and the screws re-torqued down to 3.5 Ft/Lbs. as directed by the steering wheel supplier, Steering Creations, Inc.
