Step 2. Carefully remove the labels. Do not use a knife or any sharp object that could scratch or gouge
the fiberglass surface.
Warning: This is a “self-destruct void” label so residue will remain on the sidewall surface.
The original sticker must be removed entirely for the replacement label to properly adhere.
Remove residue with an adhesive remover like “Goo-Gone” to fully clean the area.
Step 3. Prepare the surface with rubbing alcohol, then install the replacement label in the same
location.
Warning: Do not place labels over graphics or other decals as this could affect the adhesion.

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor
Vehicle Safety Act.
Grand Design RV has decided that certain 2023 Imagine AIM travel trailers manufactured
between November 7, 2022, and March 8, 2023, fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle
Safety Standard No. 110, “Tire Selection and Rims”. The Federal Certification Label incorrectly
states the tire size and inflation pressure requirement.

dealer to have your vehicle inspected and, if necessary, have the
correct Federal Certification Label installed.
Why is a recall being
conducted?
On select model Grand Design Imagine AIM recreational vehicles
manufactured between November 7, 2022, and March 8, 2023, the
Federal Certification Label indicates an incorrect tires size and
pressure rating. Incorrect tire size and inflation requirements may
cause premature tire wear or a blow out, increasing the risk of a
crash.

On affected vehicles, the Federal Certification Labels will be replaced
with corrected labels. Grand Design dealers have been notified of
this recall and have the required repair instructions available. Repair
is estimated to take no more than 15 minutes. There will be no
charge for this service.

Grand Design RV has decided that certain 2023 Imagine AIM travel trailers manufactured
between November 7, 2022, and March 8, 2023, fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle

states the tire size and inflation pressure requirement.
Affected vehicles include 2023 Imagine AIM travel trailer recreational vehicles manufactured
between November 7, 2022, and March 8, 2023, with “AIM Package” off-road tires. The VIN
range of affected units is:
Imagine AIM TT- 573TE2011P7700011 through 573TE2011P7700607 (non-sequential)
On select model Grand Design Imagine AIM recreational vehicles manufactured between
November 7, 2022, and March 8, 2023, the Federal Certification Label indicates an incorrect
tires size and pressure rating. Incorrect tire size and inflation requirements may cause
premature tire wear or a blow out, increasing the risk of a crash.
Owners of affected vehicles will be notified of this recall by mail. A copy of the Owner
Notification Letter is attached as well as claim filing instructions and a VIN list of your affected
units.

On November 7, 2022, Grand Design began production of a new AIM model. On March 8, 2023, it was discovered that the build configurator did not account for a special “Off-Road” option, which utilizes a larger tire assembly. An immediate investigation confirmed that units produced with this option had the incorrect tire size and inflation pressure listed on the Federal Certification Label. On March 8, 2023, the root cause was identified and we immediately made the decision to launch a noncompliance recall. Further quality checks revealed the configurator did not implement the Federal Certification label corrections until March 8, 2023 Description of Remedy :
Description of Remedy Program : On affected vehicles with the incorrect tire size & pressure rating on the
Federal Certification label, Grand Design Recreational Vehicles will notify retail owners and selling dealers of the concern and send a replacement label with the correct information to the servicing dealer. Dealers will verify Federal Certification label information, remove the incorrect label and replace with the correct label. Retail owners that have paid to have this service performed will be reimbursed for any expenses they incurred. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : The recalled label incorrectly states the tire size as ST225/75R15LRE with a psi rating of 80 pounds. The correct label will provide the appropriate tire size and pressure – ST235/75R15LRD at 65psi.
The build configurator in our system has been corrected to assure that when this specific option is ordered the Federal Certification Label print out will contain the correct tire size & inflation pressure.
