Summary
9299-5000 Québec Inc. (9299-5000 Quebec) is recalling certain 2020-2023 HÉLIO O2 travel trailers, equipped with certain SDS2 2-Burner Drop-in Cooktops. The internal aluminum burner tubes that connect to the gas valves may fracture and cause a gas leak.
Remedy
Dealers will install a regulator support bracket, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 28, 2023. Owners may contact 9299-5000 Quebec customer service at 1-877 5832206. 9299-5000 Quebec’s number for this recall is 2023-001.

Description of the Defect : 9299-5000 Québec Inc. (HÉLIO) is recalling certain 2020-2023 O2 Travel trailers equipped with certain SDS2 2-burner drop-in cooktops. The internal aluminum tubes that connect the gas valves to the cooktop burners could crack from excessive vibration. If this happens, the tubes could leak propane.

Description of the Safety Risk : The burner tube could crack resulting in a leak of propane when the top
burner gas valve is opened to use the appliance. If ignited the propane could result in a fire and/or explosion which could result in personal injury.
Description of the Cause : The gas manifold at the control knobs can become loose over time due to excessive vibration. With excessive vibration the burner tubes can fail. Identification of Any Warning
that can Occur : The owner could possibly hear a louder than normal hissing sound or smell propane odor when the cooktop gas valve is urned to the ON position. The flame height could seem lower than normal. The control knob of the cooktop
