This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Airstream has decided that a defect that relates to motor vehicle safety exists in the model year 2023 Rangeline touring coach. As a result, Airstream is conducting a safety recall.
Airstream, Inc. (Airstream) is recalling 2023 Rangeline touring coaches equipped with the Onan 2.8 HGLAA-8302 (Gasoline) generator. Per Cummins Recall 23E030, “The fuel hose between the inline fuel filter and the injection pump module (IMP) may have inadequate clamp force, possibly resulting in a gasoline leak.” If a gas leak occurs, this could result in a fire, personal injury and/or property damage.
Because this is Cummins’ recall, the inspection and recall repair will need to be completed by a Cummins certified service center. To locate the nearest certified service center, please call 1-800-CUMMINS (286-6467). You may also find a location nearest you by searching the web at www.cummins.com/locations. The recall repair will be done at no cost to the customer. This repair will take approximately .50 hours.
Please contact Cummins immediately to schedule a service appointment to have the repair performed on your vehicle’s Onan generator. If you have any questions concerning this recall or if you need any assistance, please contact Cummins Customer Service at 1-800-CUMMINS (286-6467), or Airstream Customer Service Department at support@airstream.com, or by phone at 877-596-6111 ext. 7401. If you have had the appropriate repairs completed prior to receipt of this recall notice, and if you incurred any direct cost in connection with obtaining such repair, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement from Cummins by contacting the Cummins Customer Service Department.

PROBLEM:
It has come to our attention that in certain model year 2023 Rangeline touring coaches, it is necessary to participate in the following Cummins Onan recall: Per Cummins Recall 23E030, “The fuel hose between the inline fuel filter and the injection pump module (IMP) may have inadequate clamp force, possibly resulting in a gasoline leak.” If a gas leak occurs, this could result in a fire, personal injury and/or property damage.
RANGE OF VEHICLES INVOLVED:
2023 Rangeline touring coaches built between: August 31, 2022 – April 14, 2023
Serial Number Range: 420000-420156
Note: Because our VINs do not run in a contiguous series, there will be units in the VIN ranges
which will not be affected by this recall. A detailed list of the affected (142) units is available on AIRHUB.
WARRANTY REIMBURSEMENT:
A notice of this recall has been sent to affected retail owners. A copy of the Owner’s letter is included for your review. If the retail owner requests that you complete the repair, please advise the customer to contact Cummins Customer Service at 1-800-CUMMINS (286-6467), or www.cummins.com/locations to locate the nearest Cummins certified service center. If you have unit(s) in your inventory, please contact Cummins Customer Service. Per Cummins, the time allowed for the repair is .50 hrs.
SERVICE ACTION:
Per Cummins Recall 23E030; “The remedy is to inspect and, if the unit has the defect, to replace the subject fuel hose and associated clamps. A recall-specific reimbursement plan will be provided on the Recall Portal for those units not covered by the manufacturer’s limited warranty.
Notice:
Per CFR § 577.13(b) – Notification to dealers and distributors. It is a violation of Federal law for a dealer to deliver a new motor vehicle or any new or used item of motor vehicle equipment (including a tire) covered by the notification under a sale or lease until the defect or noncompliance is remedied.

Airstream production began a stop ship of affected units, and we contacted Airstream dealers to begin a stop delivery on new sales on 4/17/23. Description of Remedy :
