Engineering change dated 04/27/2023 moved the Molex connectors from floor to wall. Approximately 242 units involved but scope may be amended later. Production Dates : JUL 08, 2019 – APR 27, 2023 VIN Range 1 : Begin : NR End : NR Not sequential Description of Defect : Description of the Defect : When the condensation pan under the refrigerator is full, there is the possibility that the water can overflow onto the Molex connections located on the floor and cause a thermal event. FMVSS 1 : NR FMVSS 2 : NR Description of the Safety Risk : If the condensation pan were to overflow, water could overflow onto the Molex connections which could cause a fire. Description of the Cause : The overflow of water from the condensation pan onto the Molex connections. The small fire went out on its own quickly. Tiffin Service notified Engineering who began investigating the t receptacles and Molex Connections for the refrigerator in the Breeze models and found the installation of the receptacles was on the wall, but the Molex connections were in the floor. 04/25/2023 Presented to Safety Committee who voted to recall due to the thermal event. Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : Tiffin will notify the affected population and have the Molex connectors relocated from the floor to the wall. This repair will be completed at no charge to the owner. If the owner has paid for any repairs related to this defect, they can submit the invoice to Tiffin Motorhomes for reimbursement. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : The Molex connectors will be located in a different area, they will be attached to the wall instead of to the floor. Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : Engineering change notification was issued on 04/27/2023 to move the Molex connections from the floor to the wall.
