FMVSS 1 : NR FMVSS 2 : NR Description of the Safety Risk : A gasoline leak in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of fire. Description of the Cause : The cause of the issue is an inadequate specification of the fuel hose. Identification of Any Warning that can Occur : Bystanders may see or smell gasoline. Address : 301 Washington Street Box 3005, Mail Code 91630 Columbus Indiana 47202 Country : United States Chronology : 4/13/2023 Cummins notified Jayco Compliance by email of their Onan generator recall. 4/17/2023 The Warranty Incident Review Committee (WIRC) discussed the incident and elevated it to CPAC. 4/19/2023 The Corrective Preventive Action Committee (CPAC) discussed the incident and elevated it to SSC. 4/27/2023 The Safety Steering Committee (SSC) met and voted to proceed with filing a safety recall with NHTSA. Jayco is not aware of any warranty claims or injuries related to this matter. Jayco received one related retail owner complaint. Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : The remedy consists of inspection and replacement of the fuel hose and clamp.
