FMVSS 1 : NR FMVSS 2 : NR Description of the Safety Risk : Under certain conditions if the backer board is not installed into the slide box framing and the cabinet front detaches, the slide room can completely extend out of the opening; leading to an increased risk of personal injury. Description of the Cause : The backer board was not installed. Identification of Any Warning that can Occur : The cabinet front is loose on the wardrobe slide in the bedroom. Investigation opened. All Arcadia units were put on hold and to be inspected. 5/24/2023 – Investigation concluded and scope completed. Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : The remedy is to inspect units to verify that the backer board is missing. If the backer board is missing steel brackets will need to be securely mounted in each corner, on the sides of the slide box, to stop the slide room when opening. Manufacturer Reimbursement Plan on file as of 10/11/2022. General reimbursement plan to be updated every two years. New vehicles are covered under warranty. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : The slide box will have steel brackets (KRV#244953) added to alleviate the issue. Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : Units were quarantined, inspected then repaired as indicated by inspection. Recall Schedule : Description of Recall Schedule : Keystone will notify the dealers and owners of the recreational vehicles by letter. A final copy of the owner letter will be provided to NHTSA, along with the dealer repair procedures.
