Right Turn Signal Inoperative/FMVSS 108
An inoperative front turn signal may not notify other drivers of a turning vehicle, while inoperative hazard warning lights reduce the vehicle visibility to other drivers, both increasing the risk of a crash.

) is recalling certain 2023-2024 H3-45 and 2022-2024 H3-45 VIP vehicles. The right front turn signal light may fail when the turn signal or hazard warning lights are activated. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”
Remedy
Prevost
will install enhanced headlight wiring that includes additional resistors, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 29, 2023. Owners may contact Prevost

Therefore, we consider this as a proactive measure to protect the public from the potential risk associated with this defect. Description of the Cause : The defect results from an electrical design issue. Under certain conditions, the current drawn by the right front turn signal lamp could exceed the electronic control unit output current limit, causing the overcurrent protection to activate and the turn signal lamp to fail. Identification of Any Warning that can Occur : There is no warning with this issue. will install enhanced headlight wiring that comprises additional resistors on all concerned vehicles. Letters will be sent to customers to inform them on how to proceed. Prevost
will execute this correction free of charge (parts and labor) for the customers. In case a customer has already inspected and corrected this defect before the safety recall has been launched, this customer will be reimbursed according to Prevost
reimbursement plan. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : After the remedy, all concerned vehicles will be equipped with enhanced headlight wiring that comprises additional resistors. The recalled headlight wiring does not include additional resistors. Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : The recall condition was corrected in production on June 19, 2023, when an internal campaign was launched to install enhanced headlight wiring on all concerned vehicles before being delivered to customers.
