Nova Bus
(US) Inc. (Nova
) is recalling certain 2022-2023 LFS transit buses. During the hose manufacturing, the power steering hose may not have been assembled correctly, which can result in hose fitting detachment and a loss of power steering assist.
Remedy
Nova Bus
will inspect and replace the power steering hoses, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 4, 2023. Owners may contact Nova
customer service at 1-800-350-6682. Nova
’s number for this recall is CR5451. This recall is an expansion of recall number 23V-054.

will provide a service document to inspect and replace the defective power steering hoses. All costs associated with this corrective measure will be covered by Nova Bus
. Pre-notification remedies will be addressed using the Nova Bus
general reimbursement plan on file with NHTSA. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : The certified replacement power steering hoses are using the proper fittings. A distinguishable feature of the defective hose is a blue ring on the fitting. Illustration of this will be available in the service document provide to inspect and replace the defective power steering hoses. Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : From 2023-07-05, the delivery stop ensured that no vehicle was delivered with defective power steering hoses.
