Starcraft RV
(Starcraft
) is recalling certain 2023 Super Lite Maxx travel trailers. The trailers may have been manufactured without a secondary emergency exit window.
Remedy
Dealer will inspect and install an emergency egress window, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 8, 2023. Owners may contact Starcraft
customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Starcraft
’s number for this recall is 9902990.

Chronology :
May 25, 2023 an internal communication was received from our codes and standards team informing Jayco
compliance that there were 17 trailers that may have been built with no secondary means of escape.
Production dates beginning 03-28-2023 and ending 03-30-2023. This was noticed due to an over stock of egress windows once production was complete.
June 5, 2023 the Warranty Incident Review Committee (WIRC) discussed this incident and elevated to the Corrective and Preventive Action Committee (CPAC).
June 7, 2023 CPAC met to discuss this incident and elevated this incident to the Safety Steering Committee (SSC), pending an internal investigation of the incident.
July 27, 2023 SSC met and voted that a safety recall was appropriate for this incident.
