Chronology :
We had a warranty claim of a transfer switch smoking and burnt wires. Our service department found a separate unit with loose connections in the transfer switch. This initiated an investigation. After the investigation was performed it was found that the improper tool was being used to attach the wires in the transfer switch which could result in the connections being loose. It was decided on 8/17/23 to continue with a NHTS recall to have these connections checked for proper torque.
