Summary
Alliance RV, LLC is recalling certain 2021-2023 Paradigm and Valor fifth wheel trailers. A wire connector from the solar panel ports to the solar charge lines may loosen.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the existing wire nut with a new connector, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 19, 2023. Owners may contact Alliance customer service at 1-574-218-7165.

Reason for this recall:
Alliance RV has determined that a number of Paradigm & Valor 5th Wheels were manufactured that the connection point at the solar port and the solar charge lines may be loose, which would cause performance issues and potential for a thermal event.
What Alliance RV will do:
Alliance RV will reimburse authorized service providers to perform the necessary repair. A total of .50hrs will be paid (.50hrs to replace the wire nuts connecting the solar port to the solar charge lines with a new connector).
What we need you to do:
Perform the wiring correction. The instructions provided with this letter will guide you through the appropriate action. A warranty claim can then be filed with Alliance RV.

The remedy is to replace wire nuts with new electrical butt connectors.
Instructions
1. Make sure that all power, both shore power and battery power, is completely disconnected from the RV.
2. (on the roof of the rv) Carefully remove the solar port by disconnecting the panels from the port and then clearing the sealant and accessing the fasteners.
3. Remove fasteners and remove the port from roof. This will expose the wiring and the connection point we are looking for.

5. Be sure to wrap your connection with electrical tape.
6. You will now reinstall the port, reconnect your input wiring from the solar panels and seal the port with the provided tube of self-leveling lap sealant.
