Part 573 Safety Recall Report 23T-009 Page 8 The information contained in this report was submitted pursuant to 49 CFR §573 Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : Sentury will contact registered customers that purchased tires of the specified date range by first class mail. For those customers who did not register their tires, Sentury will work with independent dealers or distributors to obtain owner information, where available. Customer correspondence will explain the issue, and include instructions on how to obtain replacement tires, as well as instructions for collecting reimbursement for remedies made prior to the recall. Customers who have had their tires replaced before this recall may be eligible to receive reimbursement for the cost of obtaining a pre notification remedy of the problem associated with this recall. Dealers performing the replacement of recalled tires will be notified of their responsibilities in accordance with 49 CFR part 573.6 c 9. Dealers will be instructed to return recalled tires directly to Sentury Tires USA. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : The remedy component is a tire that has a properly cured tread base layer. This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Sentury Tire USA has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in the tires listed in the chart below. Our records indicate that you may have purchased one of the potentially affected tires.
What Is the Problem?
Due to a manufacturing issue, the tread base layer of the tire may not have cured properly. If the tread base layer does not cure properly, it may detach increasing the risk of a crash. If this condition begins to occur, you may experience warnings such as vibration in the seat, vibration in the steering wheel and/or increased noise coming from the affected tire(s).

What Will Sentury Tire Do?
• If the dealer’s inspection verifies that you have a tire(s) within the affected population, the tire(s) will be replaced, mounted, and if needed, balanced at no cost to you through June 15, 2024. After June 15, 2024, tires will be replaced at a pro-rated value determined by remaining tread depth. If tires manufactured by Sentury Tire are not available at the time of the inspection, the affected tire(s) will be replaced with tire(s) from a comparable brand using the same size and load rating as required by the vehicle manufacturer. The time required to determine if your tire(s) is subject to the recall is just a few minutes, and approximately up to thirty (30) minutes per tire if replacement is required.
What Should You Do?
• In the interest of safety for both yourself and your passengers, please return any recalled tires along with this letter to the location where you purchased the tire(s) so that they can be replaced under this recall.
• If you no longer own the vehicle equipped with the recalled tire(s), please forward the information of the new owner to Sentury Tire. You can contact Sentury Tire by calling toll-free at 1-866-305-2750 or by email at [email protected] .

October 23, 2023: Sentury Tire USA receives report from retail customer of tire failure incident involving the
235//60R18 107V Mohave Crossover tire. Sentury Tire USA informs Sentury Tire Thailand of incident for
further evaluation.
October 24, 2023-November 7, 2023: Sentury Tire Thailand conducts internal investigation into potential
cause tire failure and identifies certain tires with DOT week code 1723 may not have properly cured due to
missing chemicals during the compound missing process for the tire’s base tread layer.
November 7, 2023: Sentury Tire Thailand makes decision to conduct recall all tires manufactured DOT week
code 1723.

Description of Remedy :
Description of Remedy Program : Sentury will contact registered customers that purchased tires of the
specified date range by first class mail. For those customers who did not
register their tires, Sentury will work with independent dealers or
distributors to obtain owner information, where available. Customer
correspondence will explain the issue, and include instructions on how to
obtain replacement tires, as well as instructions for collecting
reimbursement for remedies made prior to the recall. Customers who have
had their tires replaced before this recall may be eligible to receive
reimbursement for the cost of obtaining a pre notification remedy of the
problem associated with this recall. Dealers performing the replacement of
recalled tires will be notified of their responsibilities in accordance with
49 CFR part 573.6 c 9. Dealers will be instructed to return recalled tires
directly to Sentury Tires USA.

The remedy component is a tire that has a properly cured tread base layer.
