Chronology :
10/23/2023 the issue was brought before the safety committee. Final finish LPG checks had found 3 of the 32-inch hard line hoses that connect the LPG system from the regulator to the hard pipe gas line going into the motorhome were leaking between the crimp and joint.
Tiffin
had made the decision to swap to a 32-inch line due to supply issues. At that time, the hose had been installed on 40 coaches, 8 of which had shipped. 7 units are in the US and 1 is in Canada.
After leaks were found on the 3rd hose, production made the decision to swap back to the 40-inch hose that had previously been used in production and the 32 units remaining at Tiffin
had the 32-inch hose replaced with the 40-inch hose before shipping.
An investigation began as to the cause of the leak, and it was determined that the fitting on the 32-inch hose did not fully match to the hard pipe gas line.
11/28/2023 the safety committee voted to issue a safety recall for the 8 units that had shipped.
