Obstructed Sensor May Cause Unexpected Braking
A driver assist system that does not function properly may engage the brakes unexpectedly or fail to engage the brakes as intended, increasing the risk of a crash.

Prevost
Car (US) Inc. (Prevost
) is recalling certain 2024 H3-45 and 2022-2024 H3-45 VIP motorcoaches equipped with Prevost
Driver Assist. The radar sensor may be obstructed by an incorrect front bumper trim panel, causing the driver assist system to not function properly.
Remedy
Prevost
will inspect and replace the front bumper panel as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 24, 2024. Owners may contact Prevost
customer service at 1-866-870-2046. Prevost

roadway obstacle. These potential malfunctions could increase the risk of a
crash.

Description of Remedy :
Description of Remedy Program : Prevost
will inspect and, if required, replace the front bumper trim panel
with a panel that includes an opening for the radar sensor on all
potentially affected vehicles. Letters will be sent to customers to inform
them on how to proceed. Prevost
will execute this correction free of charge
(parts and labor) for the customers. In case a customer has already
inspected and corrected this defect before the safety recall has been
launched, this customer will be reimbursed according to Prevost![]()
reimbursement plan.
How Remedy Component Differs
from Recalled Component :
The issue concerns an unsuitable component that was installed on certain
vehicles, and not a defective component. After the remedy, all vehicles will
be equipped with a trim panel that includes an opening for the radar
sensor.
Identify How/When Recall Condition
was Corrected in Production :
The recall condition was corrected in production on November 24, 2023,
when an internal campaign was launched. All vehicles are corrected prior
to delivery.
