Descriptive Information : Affected vehicles were determined by reviewing and analyzing incident data along
with other field data and engineering testing and analysis. All Hauler Pro LSV models
are included in the affected products.

Description of Defect :
Description of the Defect : Internal components of battery composite module are not adequately
protected from water ingress. Water entering the composite module from rain
or washing results in damage to internal circuitry and current leakage between
cell rows. When coupled with an optional cell module to add increased range,
these conditions can lead to the fire incidents.

Description of the Safety Risk : Fire
Description of the Cause : Mechanical design of Hauler Pro allows for water to get on the battery
modules. When this is combined with composite battery modules that have
compromised cases, water can enter the composite battery module.
Identification of Any Warning
that can Occur :
Vehicle may shut down prior to a fire incident. All known incidents occurred
while vehicle was parked. Some were “on charge” and others were not.

Chronology :
We have received 7 reports of fire regarding Off-Road Hauler Pro ELiTE vehicles, first date of loss was July 19,
2023, but TSV did not get detail on the incident until early September. We received subsequent reports of
similar incidents in September and October, all on Off-Road Hauler Pro ELiTE vehicles with offboard chargers.
We reported to CPSC and Transport Canada in Mid-September. On November, 16, 2023 we received notice of
an incident in Jamaica that had occurred on November 15th. This incident was also on an Off-Road Hauler Pro
ELiTE, but the subject unit was with an onboard charger. We were able to complete a site inspection of this
unit on 11/30. Investigations, analysis of the issue and the site inspection of the unit in Jamaica led us to
conclude that certain on-road LSVs that share many characteristics with the off-road Hauler Pro vehicles
should be included in customer notifications and any recall actions. Hauler Pro ELiTE LSV vehicles have very
similar electrical systems and are structurally similar in relevant aspects to the non-LSV Hauler Pro incident
vehicle with onboard charger. All Hauler Pro LSV models are included in the affected products.

customers along with risk reduction actions that can be taken.
