Chronology :
Our E&I department was administering a test on our lithium battery system and noticed the 250AMP battery disconnect would become warm if there were multiple components running off the lithium system at the same time. They determined that if the system was drawing 275AMP consistently then it would cause the battery disconnect to overheat and the possibility of wires melting. – The E&I team felt is was necessary to upgrade the battery disconnect to a 400AMP battery disconnect switch which would allow the system to function without any concerns. – The E&I team has put together instructions to complete the exchange of the 250AMP battery disconnect to the 400AMP disconnect.
