Secondary Fuel Filter Hoses May Disconnect
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. Additionally, a lack of fuel can cause an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

Summary
Nova Bus
(US) Inc. (Nova
) is recalling certain 2022-2023 LFS vehicles. Insufficient crimping may allow the secondary fuel filter hoses to disconnect and leak.
Remedy
Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until the repair has been performed. Dealers will replace the secondary fuel filter hoses, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 11, 2024. Owners may contact Nova
customer service at 1-800-350-6682. Nova

files 573 with NHTSA that a voluntary recall will be released to address the safetyrelated defect.

Descriptive Information : The recall population is defined by vehicles equipped with Cummins
engines built between December 2022 and March 2023 that use a remote secondary fuel filter. These engines use hoses with Cummins
part number 6316899 manufactured before April 2023 using a 18.7 mm crimping. There are 52 Nova
LFS vehicles MY 2022 through 2023 impacted.

Description of the Defect : The subject vehicles may have been built with fuel hoses for the secondary remote fuel filter that may disconnect.

Description of the Safety Risk : In the event of a fuel hose disconnection, the engine may shutdown and a fuel spillage outside of the engine bay may occur. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source
may increase the risk of a fire. In addition, an unexpected engine shutdown can increase the risk of a crash.

Description of Remedy :
Description of Remedy Program : Owners will be notified and instructed to not drive their vehicles. Vehicles
will be recalled and the secondary fuel filter hoses will be replaced with the updated part using 18.3mm crimping. All costs associated with this corrective measure will be covered by Nova Bus
. Pre-notification remedies will be addressed using the Nova Bus
general reimbursement plan on file with NHTSA. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component :
Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : Remedied fuel hoses will use 18.3 mm crimping instead of 18.7 mm crimping. Cummins
part number 6316899.
An Internal Campaign was launched to correct vehicles in production April 23, 2024. Recall Schedule :
