Summary
Forest River Bus, LLC. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Glaval Universal and Mobility Trans Safetbus transit buses, equipped with certain GO-ES Space Saver Foldaway Seats. The recliner mechanism may not engage when the seat back is fully reclined. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, “Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages.”
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and repair the seat, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 19, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at 1-800-348-7440. Forest River’s number for this recall is 51-1774.

On May 2, 2024, Forest Rivers Office of Corporate Compliance (“OCC”) was notified of the recall. OCC opened a research item into the matter.
On May 3, 2024, the manufacturing plant provided information leading to locating the vehicles in which the affected component may have been installed in.
On May 10, 2024, Forest River’s Corporate Committee voted to recall.

Description of Remedy Program : Forest River will provide all parts and labor free of charge to Consumers
and Dealers. An authorized Forest River dealer will need to perform the remedy to inspect the seat and repair as necessary if the seat does not return to the upright position from the reclining position as intended. (800) 348-7440 If you have already paid for a repair that is within the scope of this defect under recall, you still need to have this recall inspected and/or performed to ensure the correct parts and procedures were utilized. Additionally, you may be eligible for a refund of previously paid repairs. Refunds will only be provided for within the scope of this defect under recall.
