SAFETY RECALL – STOP SALE NOTIFICATION.
2024-2025 NOVA NAB20C AND NAB20D CLASS B MOTORHOMES
Forest River has decided that a safety defect exists in certain 2024-2025 NOVA NAB20C and NAB20D Class B Motorhome Recreational Vehicles. Forest River is recalling the defective model(s) to ensure the safety of our future retail consumers and your dealership. Forest River is issuing a Stop Sale Notice effective immediately.
Please access your Home Page on Dealer Connect to verify if your Dealership has units in stock that are subject to this recall. Enter the Service Campaign number referenced above in the “Campaign Search” field, and click on the “Campaign ID Number”. Next, select “MY VINS”. Not all Dealers have units in stock that are affected by this recall.
DEFECT/NONCOMPLIANCE:
The solar panel may detach from the Pop-Up roof.
EVALUATION OF RISK:
A detached solar panel could become a road hazard increasing the risk of a crash.
SERVICE PROCEDURE:
The remedy for this recall is under development. A second notice will be issued once the remedy is available.

Description of the Cause : The solar panel is bonded to the painted Pop-Up roof but the paint may not be fully cured and could peel from the Pop-Up roof. Identification of Any Warning

On May 2, 2024, while test driving the affected models, Forest Rivers manufacturing plant discovered that a solar panel had detached. The same day, the manufacturing plant notified Forest River’s Office of Corporate Compliance (“OCC”) of the concern. OCC opened a research item. On May 3, 2024, OCC and the manufacturing plant began working to identify if any vehicles had left the plant and into commerce. On May 6, 2024, OCC confirmed that vehicles had left the manufacturing plant, shipping to dealers. On May 7, 2024, OCC and the manufacturing plant, met with the supplier, Lippert to discuss the concern. On May 10, 2024, Forest River’s Corporate Recall Committee voted to recall. During the week of May 3, 2024, through May 10, 2024, the manufacturing plant put a stop ship on shipping and quarantined all suspected vehicles. The manufacturing plant began testing various remedies in conjunction with the supplier. Recall Schedule :
Description of Recall Schedule : Forest River has the utmost urgency in our recalls. Forest River will send
suspected VIN numbers to our third party vendor that is licensed to pull data on the current owner of the vehicles (as needed) once a formal NHTSA I.D. is provided. Forest River intends on pushing the mailing out as soon as NHTSA provides any correction(s) and an Acknowledgement Letter.
