A broken fastener can allow the seat to move, increasing the risk of injury during a crash.

Summary
Spartan Fire, LLC (Spartan Fire) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Gladiator, Metro Star, and 2023-2024 FC-94 vehicles. The seat mount fastener may be undersized and could break. As such, these vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 207, “Seating Systems.”
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the fastener as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 17, 2024. Owners may contact Spartan Fire customer service at 1-517-543-6400. Spartan Fire’s number for this recall is 24007.

April 2, 2024 – Spartan production found chassis cab with incorrect fasteners installed on seat during inspection. Quality alert issued to production.
April 4 – April 28, 2024 – Spartan investigated the issue, created a PSR team, pulled a potential population, issued quality alert, and request for FEA issued.
April 29, 2024 – Spartan determined the final population.
April 30, 2024 – Conducted a risk assessment. Stop ship issued.
May 1, 2024 – There have been no failures but out of an abundance of caution have decided to escalate the issue for the undersized fasteners. Escalated the issue to REV Group Management.
May 8, 2024 – REV’s senior leadership approved a voluntary recall for this issue.

As such, these vehicles may fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 207, “Seating Systems”. Description of Remedy :
Description of Remedy Program : The affected vehicles will have the seat mount fastener installation
inspected, and corrected when necessary. This will be covered under normal warranty process. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component :
Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : The remedy would consist of installing the design intended fasteners. A quality alert was implemented into production on April 2, 2024. Stop ship issued on April 30, 2024 across Spartan campuses. Recall Schedule :
Description of Recall Schedule : Spartan to begin dealer notifications by the week of May 20, 2024 and
owner notifications by the week of June 17, 2024.
