Summary
Nova Bus
(US) Inc. (Nova Bus
) is recalling certain 2022-2023 LFS buses. The ground connection on the bus bar in the HVAC roof unit may not be secured properly, which can result in an unexpected engine shutdown or an overheated ground connection.
Remedy
Nova Bus
will inspect and tighten the ground connection on the bus bar, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 8, 2024. Owners may contact Nova Bus
customer service at 1-800-350-6682. Nova Bus
’s number for this recall is CR5605.

Description of the Defect : Vehicles may have been built with improper torque applied to a ground connection on a bus bar inside the HVAC roof unit. This could lead to a loose ground connection.

Description of Remedy Program : Vehicles will be recalled and the remedy program will be to inspect
vehicles and reapply correct torque on the bus bar connection. All costs associated with this corrective measure will be covered by Nova Bus
. Pre- notification remedies will be addressed using the Nova Bus
general reimbursement plan on file with NHTSA. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : Remedied component will have correct torque applied and torque seal will be visible on the connection.
