Summary
Eveland’s Inc. (Eveland’s) is recalling certain 2024 Scamp trailers. The LED backlight circuit board in the cooktop range may fail, causing the board to overheat.
Remedy
Dealers will cut the circuit powering the LED backlights
and terminate the wiring, or remove the LED backlights
, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 17, 2024. Owners may contact Eveland’s customer service at 1-218-947-4932.

WARNING
This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons unless they have been adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure they can use the appliance safely.
To prevent electrical shock and/or equipment damage, disconnect electrical power to the system at the main fuse or circuit breaker until installation is complete.
CAUTION
This electrical work must be performed by trained technicians only. Adhere to all local and national codes and ordinances. Take care when securing and routing wires so they do not short. Personal injury and/or property damage may occur.
This electrical work will disable the function of the red, white and oven lights.
1.
Disconnect 12VDC power to the range.
2.
Remove the range main top by firmly pulling up at the front. Lift the main top free of the burner box clips and set aside.
3.
Locate the red and black wires that connect to the coach wiring (Coach wiring color may vary). Cut this wire directly behind the connector using a pair of electrical cutters.
4.
Crimp the Crimp Caps(233759) to incoming 12V positive and negative to prevent lights from being reattached.
5.
Locate and unplug the wires from the light switch on the front of the unit, Then remove the light switch by squeezing the locking tabs and replace with the plug provided in the kit (233754).
6.
Replace the main top by engaging rear clips and pressing firmly on the front latch.
7.
Close the glass cover (if equipped).
8.
Reconnect 12VDC power.

of the knobs and to properly terminate the electrical connections. Suburban will provide this remedy at no cost to owners. With proper documentation, Suburban will reimburse owners per its general reimbursement policy if their range was remided prior to the issuing of this recall. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component :
Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : There is no remedy component. Power is disconnect to the knobs, resolving the issue.
