Fuel Leak May Occur At The Fuel Line Clamp
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Summary
KYMCO USA (KYMCO) is recalling certain 2018 Like 200i motorcycles. The fuel line clamp may loosen allowing fuel to leak.
Remedy
KYMCO will notify owners and dealers will inspect and correct the fuel line clamp tightness, free of charge. The recall began March 19, 2019. Owners may contact KYMCO customer service at 1-888-909-6301.

LIKE 200I FUEL LINE FITTING INSPECTION/ REPAIR PROCEDURE
Step: 1
Tools needed: Phillips head screw driver, 10mm socket w/ ratchet, a torque wrench with a usable range of 0-30 lbf.in w/ 7mm socket, and a 6” scale.
Step: 2
Open the seat compartment using the key.
Step: 3
Move contents to locate the 4 bolts and 2 screws securing the seat/storage box and remove them. Remove the seat/storage box as one unit and place it to the side.

Locate the fuel line connection at the fuel pump and fuel injector as indicated.
Step: 5 Tighten the clamp at the fuel pump:
Loosen the clamp and check the position of the fuel line. Tighten the clamp to 18-23 lbf-in. with a 0-30 lbf-in torque wrench and 7mm socket.
Step: 6 Tighten the clamp at the fuel injector:
Loosen the clamp and check the position of the fuel line. Tighten the clamp to 18-23 lbf-in. with a 0-30 lbf-in torque wrench and 7mm socket. When torquing the fuel line clamp at the fuel injector, make sure to firmly support the fuel injector at the fuel line clamp with your hand.
Step: 7
Check the length of the exposed tail of the clamp for approximately 9/16” with a 6” scale to confirm. If the exposed length is less than 9/16”, re-torque until the exposed tail end has 7 steps showing.
Step: 8 Testing the fuel line repairs:
Turn on the main switch, start the engine and let the unit idle for 2 minutes. Open the throttle slightly, checking for leaks. If no leak is present after 5 minutes, proceed to step 9.

Voluntary Safety Recall: KYMCO Like 200i, Potential leaking from fuel line connection.

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
What is the reason for this notice?
Kwang Yang Motor Co., Ltd. (KYMCO) is voluntarily recalling select 2018 model year “Like 200i” units. These units have a potential for leakage from the high-pressure fuel line due to loosening of the fuel line clamp after extensive operation resulting in a potential fire.
What your Dealer will do.
Your KYMCO Dealer will inspect the torque for the clamping point and repair if necessary, free of charge.
What you should do.
You must cease operation of this vehicle immediately and schedule an appointment for the repair of your vehicle with an authorized KYMCO dealer as soon as possible. If you are not able to visit the dealer you purchased unit from, please go to www.kymcousa.com and click on “Dealer Locator” to locate your nearest dealer. If you need further assistance, please see “Additional contact information” on page 2. The repairs for this unit will require a time of thirty (30) minutes.
