DESCRIPTION
This procedure is to guide you through the steps required to adjust the slide out room laterally in the frame opening, Front and rear from a vehicle standpoint.
We are aiming for an even lateral gap on each side of the slide-out room. We will start by loosening the elements preventing lateral movement of the slide-out. Once this is done we will use the adjustment tool (See Special Tools below) to slightly move the slide-out. Upon reaching the desired gap, we will tighten each element to preserve the adjustment.
SPECIAL TOOLS
Slide-out lateral adjustment tool G36187, drive with a 24mm socket.

PROCEDURE
DANGER
Park vehicle safely, apply parking brake, stop engine. Prior to working on the vehicle, set the ignition
switch to the OFF position and trip the main circuit breakers equipped with a trip button. On Commuter
type vehicles, set the battery master switch (master cut-out) to the OFF position.
1. With the slide-out extended, loosen these
retaining screws, both sides.

2. Measure the existing lateral gaps.
Values:

3. Release pressure on the upper stopper by
moving the room slightly outwards, about 3/4”.
4. The top of the slide-out should be free and the
upper stopper released from the structure key.

5. Under the slide-out, on one of the drive shaft
yokes, loosen two set screws

6. Loosen screw H one quarter turn (¼ t)
7. Loosen screw 1 half a turn (½ t).
8. Loosen screw 2 half a turn (½ t).
9. Do this on both sides of the room.

10. Insert tool G36187 in cavity.

11. Turn tool with a ratchet and 24mm socket to
adjust.
12. Check gaps.
13. Proper gap is 9 mm ±2 mm.
14. Work to have an equal distribution of the gap
on both sides.

15. Tighten screw 1 to 59 lb-ft (80Nm).
16. Tighten screw 2 to 59 lb-ft (80Nm).
17. Tighten the height screw H to 59 lb-ft (80Nm).
18. Tighten the jam nut on screw H to
43 lb-ft (58Nm).
19. Do this on both sides of the room.

20. Tighten the retaining screw to
59 lb-ft (80Nm).
21. Do this on both sides of the room.
