Hitch Adjustability may be Limited
If the user cannot properly adjust the hitch height to ensure proper trailer leveling, the trailer may suddenly drag, increasing the risk of a crash.

Summary
Temp-Air, Inc. (Temp-Air) is recalling certain 2017-2019 EBB-80 trailers. An incorrect hitch coupling may have been installed that limits the adjustability of the hitch possibly causing the trailer receiver angle to be improper.
Remedy
Temp-Rail will notify owners, and will replace the hitch rail with the correct one, free of charge. The recall began November 6, 2019. Owners may contact Temp-Rail customer service at 1-952-894-3000.

Take the parts and instructional material to a certified weld shop of your choice for the hitch modification and correction. You will be reimbursed up to $240 for this action, upon Temp-Air’s receipt of the weld shop’s documentation. Should the quotation exceed $240, please obtain authorization from Temp-Air for the reimbursement. Again, Temp-Air Thermal Remediation cares about your safety and safe trailering and wants to assist you the owner to insure your trailer is refitted with matching-capacity hitch parts. Background
The coupler rail rating on EBB-80 trailers has been found to not match the rating of the coupler used, affecting the adjustability of the hitch, and the ability of the user to safely set up the towing vehicle combination. Hitch parts are rated in excess of the trailer GVWR. A new bracket and retrofit instructions is provided.

Procedure
- Disconnect the negative terminal of the trailer’s engine battery. Caution: Insure the trailer is disconnected from tow vehicle, level and chocked from movement before attempting work.
- Unbolt existing coupler and retain coupler and fasteners for reassembly later.
- Cut existing U-channel mounting rail, and weld in new part as depicted (next page).
- Re-install coupler and fasteners, insuring that hitch height matches the hitch height of the tow vehicle. Torque fasteners to 150 FT-LB, ungreased.
- Reconnect engine battery.
