Tire may Contact Propane Supply Line
Tire contact with the propane tubing can create a hole in the tubing, releasing propane gas, increasing the risk of a fire in the presence of an ignition source.

Summary
Triple E Recreational Vehicles (Triple E) is recalling certain 2020 Unity U24RL trailers. The propane tubing for the water heater may be routed too close to the tire tread possibly resulting in contact between the tire and the tubing.
Remedy
Triple E will notify owners, and dealers will install a metal shield around the propane tubing for protection, free of charge. The recall began December 30, 2019. Owners may contact Triple E customer service at 1-877-992-9906. Triple E’s number for this recall is CA#9572-1.

1.
Locate where the water heater’s copper propane line, runs through the coach floor just in front of the PS rear wheel.
2.
Apply white Guertin (129-1015) to the top flange of shield.
3.
With the narrower side touching the front of the top muffler bracket flange; fasten each (2)shield flange to underside of floor with a #10 x ” Robertson (square) Pan Head SS Screw (141-0204)
4.
Drill a 9/16″ hole in the top plate of the muffler bracket approximately half way up from the bolt.
5.
Fasten the muffler bracket to shield with 1 #10 x ” Robertson (square) Pan Head Screws (141-0204)

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic & Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Triple E Recreational Vehicles has decided that certain 2020 Unity (U24RL) motorhomes manufactured between February 4, 2019 & October 31, 2019 fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard
Description of Noncompliance:
The copper propane tubing for the water heater is routed too close to the tire tread in the wheelwell area. In the situation where the vehicle hits a severe hole or bump, the tire may come in contact with the copper propane tubing. This resulting in the tubing to puncture and release propane, a spark could ignite the propane causing a fire, which could cause bodily injury.
To Have This Modification Performed:
We request your assistance to have this Safety issue corrected. Please follow the included information to add a metal shield to protect the copper propane tubing in the wheelwell area. The recall will be performed at no charge to you. The time needed to complete this repair is approximately 20 minutes. If you choose to have this Recall performed by a service center other than your dealer prior authorization is required.
If you had this repair performed before you received this letter, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for the cost of obtaining a prenotification remedy of the problem associated with this recall.
