In keeping with Dexter
’s quest for continual improvement and a stronger product offering, Dexter is pleased to announce changes to the 12-1/4″ brake offering. The update transitions from the use of five specific magnets used to support the D72 series through the D150 Sprung product lines and #12V through #14 Torflex® product lines, down to a single magnet. Keeping the customer in the forefront, the new 12-1/4″ magnet utilizes the strongest arrangement of components, creating the highest level of performance while minimizing inventory needed to meet customer needs.
Building safety into every brake, Dexter proudly manufactures our magnets and other brake components to the highest level of quality and integrity from our facility in the American heartland – Albion, Indiana.
The new 12-1/4″ magnet can be identified by a black and red magnet wire (see picture below). The new magnet design is also completely interchangeable with current magnets, and will be a running change in both finished product and kits moving forward. As with all magnets, they should be replaced in pairs – both sides of the axle.
