Splash Panel may Rub Against Fuel Line Fitting
A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire. Additionally, fuel leaking onto the roadway may increase the risk of a crash.

Summary
Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2018-2019 International LT trucks. When the hood is in the closed position, the fender splash panel may rub on the inlet fuel line fitting to the fuel/water separator, causing abrasion damage to the fitting and possibly resulting in a fuel leak.
Remedy
Navistar will notify owners, and dealers will trim the splash panel, and replace the fuel/water inlet line if it is damaged, free of charge. The recall began on May 14, 2018. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar’s number for this recall is 18503.

Fuel / Water Separator Inlet Fuel Line Connector on certain International Series vehicles built 01 February 2017 thru 22 January 2018 with either a 483 Model Fuel I Water Separator feature code 0015LMC, 0015LMD, 0015LNC, 0015LND, or 0015LPK with Drum Brakes or a 488 Model Fuel / Water Separator feature code 0015LNL, 0015LNM, or 0015LPL.
DEFECT DESCRIPTION
The fender splash panel may contact the inlet fuel line fitting to the fuel / water separator resulting in a rub condition that could cause abrasion damage to the fitting. Abrasion damage to a fuel line fitting may result in a fuel leak that could cause fuel to spill on the roadway and increase the risk of a motor vehicle crash resulting in property damage or personal injury.

February 2017 thru 22 January 2018 with either a 483 Model Fuel / Water Separator feature code 0015LMC, 0015LMD, 0015LNC. 0015LND, or 0015LPK with Drum Brakes or a 488 Model Fuel / Water Separator feature code 0015LNL, 0015LNM, or 0015LPL.
