Summary
Pleasure Way Industries Ltd. (Pleasure Way) is recalling certain 2019-2021 Tofino motorhomes. The electronic control center circuit board may be damaged from voltages over 18 volts, causing damage to the circuit board.
Remedy
Pleasure Way has notified owners, and dealers will install an over voltage protection device that cuts off voltage to the circuit board. The recall began September 23, 2020. Owners may contact Pleasure Way customer service at 1-800-364-0189.

G9 Protection Module – Tofino Installation Instructions
The following service technician instructions are for the installation of the G9 Protection Module to comply with Transport Canada recall number 2020-423 and the US National Highway Transportation Safety Association (NHTSA) product safety recall, Campaign Number 20V-542. The G9 Protection Module will provide overvoltage protection for the G9 Electronic Control Module (ECM).
The G9 Protection Module will be shipped to each Tofino owner. The owner will provide the part to the service center for installation. The G9 Protection Module installation typically takes 15 to 30 minutes.
G9 Electronic Control Module (ECM)
G9 Protection Module
The G9 Protection Module is to be installed onto the G9 ECM with following the following three steps:
Step 1 – Access the G9 ECM
The G9 ECM is located inside the rear lower cabinet on the drivers side of the Tofino.
Position rear seat in the upright position, and remove the (magnetic end) support bars.
Remove telescopic ladder (Attached with Velcro).
Remove the metal “SurFit” metal tube from its metal retaining clips.
Remove adhesive screw covers and screws from below cabinet Top. (Save adhesive covers for reapplication). Remove cabinet top.
Access G9 ECM on rear cabinet wall.
Step 2 – Install G9 Protection Module
Power off system by turning the House Power Switch (by sliding door) to the off position.
Remove the external tooth washer nut and existing power cable from G9 ECM power input stud.
Attach G9 Protection Module onto G9 power stud with external tooth washer nut and torque to 70 in/lbs.
Install power cable to G9 Protection Module stud with conical washer nut, and torque to 70 in/lbs.
Locate existing G9 ground wire connection and disconnect or cut wire.
Splice G9 Protection Module ground wire into the existing G9 ECM ground wire with Wago 222-413 terminal block.
Strip each ground wire 10mm, insert each wire fully into Wago terminal block, move orange tab from the open to fully locked position.
Turn on House Power Switch and verify LED illuminates. Turn off House Power Switch.
Install is complete.
Step 3 – Reassemble Rear Cabinet Assembly
1. Replace cabinet top.
2. Install cabinet top screws and adhesive screw covers.
3. Replace ladder, SurFit tube, and the magnetic end metal support bars.
This concludes the G9 Protection Module Installation.
