This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Dometic Corporation has determined that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety may exist with the 3-burner cooktop/range in your recreational vehicle. As the final stage manufacturer, Grand Design RV is sending you this recall notice.
Why is a recall being conducted?
On select 2020 Transcend Travel Trailers manufactured between December 5, 2019 and January 13, 2020, the 3-burner cooktop/range manufactured by the Dometic Corporation may develop a gas leak at the joint between the gas saddle valve for the burners and the manifold under the burner surface. In the event of a gas leak, the potential exists for a fire.

What are we doing about the problem?
On affected vehicles, dealers will install a remedy kit comprised of gaskets, washers, thread-locker bolts, and orange labels. Repair time is estimated to take less than one hour. There will be no charge for this service.
What should you do?
Contact your selling or nearest Grand Design RV dealer as soon as possible to schedule an appointment. If your distance from a Grand Design dealer is significant, please contact us at 574-825-9679 and choose the “Recall” prompt so we can work with you to make other arrangements to have the needed inspection & repairs completed.
What if I no longer own this recreational vehicle?

Dometic Corporation has determined that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety may
exist with the 3-burner cooktop/range installed in certain Grand Design recreational vehicles.
As the final stage manufacturer, Grand Design RV is sending you this recall notice.
The defect involves 2020 Transcend Travel Trailers manufactured between December 5, 2019 and
January 13, 2020. The VIN range of affected units is:
573TT2720L8806832 to 573TT2720L8807236 (non-sequential)
Grand Design installed a Dometic model 3-burner cooktop/range that is affected by this recall in certain
2020 Transcend Travel Trailers. According to Dometic, on affected models a gas leak may occur at the
joint between the gas saddle valve for the burners and the manifold under the burner surface. If a gas
leak were to occur the potential exists for a fire.
Owners of affected vehicles will be notified of this recall by mail from Grand Design RV. A copy of the
Owner Notification Letter is attached to this Notification Letter for your reference. Also attached is a list
of your retail sold and stock units affected by this recall. Finally, please find attached the repair and
claim filing instructions associated with this recall action.
Please be reminded that it is a violation of Federal Law for you to sell or lease the products covered by
this notification until the necessary repairs have been performed. Substantial civil penalties apply to
violations of this law. Your assistance with this recall is appreciated. Should you have any questions or
