PROCEDURE
LEVEL1 ; REPOSITION STOP LAMP AND TAIL LAMPS
1.1. Remove the 3 screws retaining the street and curb side panels on the side of the vehicle. If one of the screws
spins or it is hard to remove, you will need to perform the level 2 rivnut replacement procedure. See Figure 1

1.2. Remove the rear retaining screws and remove the curb side stop and flasher light corner panel. Retain the
hardware. See Figure 2.

1.4. Disconnect and remove both lights from the removed curb side corner panel. Retain the hardware.
1.5. Install the stop lamp at the bottom position and the other lamp at the top position on the removed curb side
stop and flasher light panel. See Figure 3.
1.6. Disconnect and remove both lights from the removed street side panel. Retain the hardware.
1.7. Install the stop lamp at the bottom position and the other lamp at the top position on the removed street side
stop and flasher light panel. See Figure 3.
CAUTION
Position the TOP mark at the top of both lamps when fixing the lamps to the corner plates. See Figure 3.

1.8. Reconnect the lamp and reinstall the curb and street side corner panel with the retained hardware. Secure
the harness with G5007996 tye rap.
LEVEL 2 : RIVNUT REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE
2.1. Remove the side panel located between the rear light corner panel and the rear side window. Retain the
hardware. See Figure 4.

if one of the screws to

2.2. Remove the defective rivnut.
2.3. Install a new N71801 Rivnut.
2.4. Reinstall the removed side panel with the retained hardware. Proceed with step 1.2 of Level 1 procedure.

PROCEDURE
LEVEL 1 ; REPOSITION STOP LAMP AND TAIL LAMPS
1.1. Remove the 3 anchor screws retaining the street and curb side light panels. If one of the screws spins or it
is hard to remove, you will need to perform the level 2 rivnut replacement procedure. See Figure 1

1.6. Reconnect the lamp and reinstall the curb and street side light panel with the retained hardware. Secure the
harness with G5007996 tye rap.
LEVEL 2 : RIVNUT REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE
2.1. Remove the defective rivnut.
2.2. Repair the fiber where the removed defective rivnut was located, following the procedure detailed in
Section 01 : Body of your Nova Bus maintenance manual.
2.3. Drill the repair fiber and install a new N44701 Rivnut.
2.4. Proceed with step 1.2 of Level 1 procedure.

General Plan for Reimbursement of Pre-Notification Remedies
When a Nova Bus vehicle is affected by a safety recall campaign and the owner (claimant) has the
problem corrected at their own expense prior to receiving notification of the recall, Nova Bus will
reimburse the claimant for the reasonable amount paid for repairs (i.e. the cost of parts, labor, disposal
fees and taxes) that addressed the defect as stated in the safety recall notification. To qualify, repairs
must have been completed no earlier than one year prior to the release of the recall
(notification to the government) and no later than 10 days after the last mailing of the initial
customer notification letter pertaining to the recall. The following information is required for your
