Drag Link Pinch Bolt may be Loose

Summary
Autocar, LLC (Autocar) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Autocar Xpeditor vehicles. The pinch bolt on the clamp for the adjustable length drag link may not have been properly tightened.
Remedy
Autocar will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the drag link pinch bolt, tightening it as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on May 25, 2018. Owners may contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611 or 1-877-973-3486. Autocar’s number for this recall is ACX-1802.

Dear Autocar Truck Owner:
This notice is being sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Autocar, LLC has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in 2018-2019 model year Xpeditor chassis. These chassis were manufactured between 17 August 2017 and 8 March 2018, with nonsequential serial numbers in the range 224250 through 227368. Our records indicate that your vehicle was manufactured within this time period and may contain the defect described herein.

| SAFETY DEFECTS AND POTENTIAL RISKS: | The pinch bolt on the clamp for the adjustable length drag link was not properly torqued. If the pinch bolt is not properly torqued, the joint may experience premature wear and fail. Failure of the joint could cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of personal injury or property damage. |
| REPAIR REQUIRED: | The pinch bolt toque will be inspected and adjusted as needed. |
| TIME REQUIRED FOR THE REPAIR: | The labor time to repair your vehicle is 0.6 hours. |
