Summary
Genesis Supreme RV (Genesis) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Genesis, Vortex, and Wanderer bumper pull and low profile fifth wheel trailers, equipped with Dometic 3-burner cooking stoves. The saddle valve securing bolt may be overtightened, possibly damaging the o-ring seal and causing a continuous gas leak.
Remedy
Genesis Supreme RV will notify owners, and Dometic service centers will install a remedy kit of gaskets, washers, thread locker bolts, and two round orange labels, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 16, 2021. Owners may contact Genesis Supreme customer service at 1-951-337-0254.

RE: Dometic S31, R1731, and R2131 Series COOKING STOVES Dear Valued Dealer:
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Genesis Supreme RV has obtained from Dometic that a defect, which relates to stoves used on all bumper pulls (Genesis-Vortex-Wander all floor plans) and low profile 5th wheels (Genesis 28CR-29CK)(2815V-2916V Vortex)(28SAWL-29CKWL-28CRWL-Wanderer) Years 2020 and 2021 built during June 2019 to December 2020, manufactured with the Dometic S31, R1731 or R2131 propane-cooking stove.
Reason for this recall
An odor of gas near the stove may be detected when not in operation. If user attempts to tighten the bolt for the stove’s valve in order to stop the smell, they could over-tighten the bolt and cause damage to a seal. This can result in a continuous gas leak. A propane gas leak could create risk of a fire or explosion.
Recall Remedy
Replace the manifold bolts and valve seals and preform a leak test Dometic Recall Hotline contact #s: 888-943-4905 or 574-389-3713 or go to www.Dometic.com.
We have reviewed and determined these VIN#’s on attachment have been sold to your dealership. If any of these VIN#’s is still on your lot, please move forward to ensure they are fixed. (see attached letter from Dometic on recall procedure.
