LLC has received notice from our component supplier WABCO USA LLC (WABCO), regarding certain iABS valves that were shipped to Great Dane
with under torqued plate mounting bolts. This applies to approximately 200 total iABS valves, of part numbers 400-500-420-0 (standard) and 400-500-430-0 (premium) shipped to Great Dane
and used in trailer production between 09/19/2019 and 10/06/2021. Great Dane
has determined that we have installed the affected valves on certain model year 2020, 2021, and 2022 Everest, Champion, and Freedom trailers. Attached you will find a list of the trailer VIN’s affected by this RECALL that have a suspect WABCO iABS valve installed. You will also find a copy of the notification letter here that was sent out for each VIN instructing the owner to check the iABS serial number against the list of suspect iABS serial numbers contained in WABCO’s technical service bulletin found here. If the valve serial number does not appear on the WABCO list then it is not a suspect valve and can be cleared as outlined below. If the valve serial number does appear on the WABCO list the customer is instructed to contact Great Dane
Customer Service to identify the closest Great Dane
Service facility capable of installing and programming a replacement iABS valve. In an effort to aid in confirming suspect valves, and reporting findings, Great Dane
has created a web app that can be found at www.greatdane.com/recall This app will allow the customer to scan the VIN barcode on the VIN plate, and enter the iABS valve serial number, before notifying the customer if the valve is suspect or clear. Upon completion of the NHTSA RECALL Campaign, if not using the app, please email the trailer VIN, inspected iABS valve serial number, and replacement iABS valve serial Technical Service Bulletin #496 Page 1 of 2 https://info.greatdane.com/webmail/501181/617871112/a14f984846594fb9a33f6dc8abfb43… 1/7/2022 number (if applicable) to: Great Dane
