Summary
Dennis Eagle, Inc. (Dennis Eagle) is recalling certain 2017-2021 Elite and Proview vehicles. The instrument cluster warning light may falsely indicate that an exterior vehicle light is not illuminated. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 101, “Control and Displays” and 125, “Warning Devices.”
Remedy
Dealers will update the instrument cluster software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 31, 2021. Owners may contact Dennis Eagle customer service at 1-813-440-8136. Dennis Eagle’s number for this recall is FSI1472.

Dennis Eagle Inc. has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety potentially exists regarding FMVSS 101 – Controls and Displays. This applies to the trucks produced with the VIN numbers listed below. Accordingly a Recall to address this issue is being initiated effective from January ……2022
The defect involves the ‘bulb warning light’ that is an integral part of the Instrument Cluster. It is possible that the warning light will illuminate telling the user that there is an issue with a vehicle light/lights not working even if all the lights are all working correctly. The rework will involve updating the Actia Instrument Cluster software. For help and support with this rework please contact Dennis Eagle Inc. on 813.440.8136 or email [email protected]
The respective Owners of the trucks listed below are being notified about the Recall and will be instructed to contact their respective Dennis Eagle Dealer to arrange for this rework to be completed. The rework can either be carried out at customers premises or at the Dealership depending on the individual customer’s requirements. Dennis Eagle Inc will reimburse the costs of the rework and Dealers should contact Shelby Pearson prior to the work being completed to obtain authorization of the costs. The false warning light could prevent the detection of an actual light failure, reducing visibility to other drivers and increasing the risk of a crash. To overcome this problem Dennis Eagle Inc has instituted a software change to the Instrument Cluster which will eradicate the problem described above.
