WJ121, and 2019-2021 FCCC XCP Chassis vehicles. The fuel tubes between the fuel rail and the injectors for cylinders four, five, and six may fatigue and crack, which can result in a high pressure fuel leak.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the fuel tubes, and install vibration isolators, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 28, 2022. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA’s number for this recall is FL-915.

contacted Seagrave Fire Apparatus with the following information about this Recall… 19Apr2021-Cummings received a Technical Service Request for a leaking fuel tube on an X12 engine. 19Apr-23Jul2021-Cummins
received additional reports of leaking fuel tubes on X12 engines and escalated the issue for further investigation. 23Jul2021-Cummins
initiated a Product Problem Solving (PPS) project to investigate the case of the fuel tube leaks. Aug-Oct2021-Cummins
continued to investigate this issue, including obtaining and analyzing parts from the field, conducting testing to understand the cause of the failures and evaluating potential corrective action. As part of the investigation, Cummins
identified 29 warranty claims for fuel tube fuel leaks (not all of which had cracked tubes) with a date range of March 6, 2020 through September 22, 2021 (as of September 22, 2021). 19Oct2021-Cummins
investigated a September 2021 fire on a vehicle equipped with an X12 engine. 25Oct2021-Cummins
identified a leak of the #5 cylinder fuel tube as the cause of the fire. 28Oct2021-Cummins

escalated the issue through its Product Safety Defect Board process. 23Nov2021-Based upon the results of the investigation, the Cummins
Product Safety Defect Board decided to conduct a safety campaign to address this Part 573 Safety Recall Report 21V-964 Page 3 The information contained in this report was submitted pursuant to 49 CFR ยง573 condition. To date, there have been no reports of injuries due to this condition. Description of Remedy : Description of Remedy Program : Per Cummins
: For engines having 75 miles or less, the remedy will consist of adding vibration isolators to the fuel tubes; fuel tubes do not need to be replaced. For all other engines, the subject fuel tubes for cylinders 4,5 and 6 (the rear half of the engine) will be replaced with new fuel tubes (having the same part number as the recalled components) and vibration isolators will be added to the fuel tubes to engines. A recall-specific reimbursement plan will be provided on the Recall Portal for those units not covered by the manufacturer’s limited warranty. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : Per Cummins
: The replacement fuel tubes will also have vibration isolators. The fuel tube and vibration isolator combination will have a new part number. Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : Per Cummins

Inc. has decided that a defect which relates to safety exists in certain X12 CM2350 X119B engines that were manufactured between April 26, 2016 and October 11, 2021 and certain X12 CM2450 X137B engines that were manufactured between August 27, 2019 and November 1, 2021. The fuel tubes between the fuel rail and the injector for cylinders 4, 5 and 6 may be susceptible to cracking, resulting in a high-pressure fuel leak. A high-pressure fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of a fire. Cummins
has notified affected Original Equipment Manufacturers to which these engines have been shipped and has filed a Defect Notification with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for applicable engines. NHTSA has assigned this recall number 21E-099. The Safety Campaign is being finalized; it is currently expected to be published on QuickServe Online on or about February 17, 2022 when the parts are expected to be available. Campaign Number C2532 will apply to this Safety Campaign. ACTION: Until the Safety Campaign is available, for affected units that develop a leak, replace the fuel line per service procedure in the associated service manual and refer to TSB210271 for information regarding vibration isolator installation. For units that are not leaking, distributors and dealers must wait until the appropriate Safety Campaigns are published on QSOL to schedule any repairs. Cummins
