To: Owners of Certain Drag Specialties Replacement Laced Wheels
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
LeMans Corporation, d/b/a/Drag Specialties (“LeMans”), has decided that a defect related to motor vehicle safety exists in certain Drag Specialties Replacement Laced Wheels based on information provided by the fabricating manufacturer. This notice applies to chrome, rear, 16” x 3.00” size wheels, Part No. 0204-0369, manufactured from June 1, 2021, through November 30, 2021, and shipped by LeMans to dealers after July 9, 2021. Specifically, the holes for the spokes in the hub of some these wheels are misaligned, which could cause wheel failure resulting in a crash without warning, increasing the risk of injury or death. According to dealership records, it appears that you purchased one of the covered wheels.
WHAT THE MANUFACTURER WILL DO
At this time, neither LeMans nor the fabricating manufacturer offers a wheel for this fitment that could serve as a replacement for the recalled wheels. Therefore, LeMans has concluded that the only appropriate remedy to address this defect is to provide a refund to the customer. We have instructed your dealer to reimburse you the price you paid for the wheel itself and any costs you incur in removing the defective wheel from your bike and installing a new replacement wheel.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
If you have a wheel covered by this recall, i.e., if you purchased and were shipped a Part No. 0204-0369 wheel after July 9, 2021, please immediately stop using the wheel.
Please contact your dealer promptly to make arrangements for:
a) Returning the wheel to the dealership. If you are not able to remove the wheel and bring it to the dealership for a refund, the dealer can make arrangements to pick up your motorcycle to remove the defective wheel, at no cost to you.

b) Finding a replacement wheel. If the dealer does not have a replacement wheel in stock, the dealer will work with you to locate one and install it for you.
c) Obtaining a refund from the dealer once the recalled wheel has been surrendered to the dealer for return to LeMans.

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. LeMans Corporation, d/b/a Drag Specialties (“LeMans”) has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain Drag Specialties Replacement Laced Wheels Part No. 0204-0369 manufactured after June 1, 2021 (“New Recalled Wheels”) provided to owners affected by previous NHTSA Recall 21E-054. This decision was based on information and a recommendation provided by the fabricating manufacturer.
In June 2021, LeMans conducted a recall to address a safety defect in certain Drag Specialties Replacement Laced Wheels; specifically, chrome, rear, 16” x 3.00” size wheels, Part No. 0204-0369, manufactured from July 1, 2019, through June 1, 2021, and delivered after August 21, 2019 (“Original Recalled Wheels”). As a remedy for that defect, LeMans offered all purchasers of Original Recalled Wheels a similar replacement wheel, based on an assurance from the fabricating manufacturer that the problem that caused the defect had been corrected for all wheels manufactured after June 1, 2021.
However, LeMans recently received complaints of spokes breaking in wheels manufactured after that date. If the spokes were to break in these wheels, it could cause wheel failure resulting in a crash without warning, increasing the risk of injury or death. According to dealership records, it appears that you received a New Recalled Wheel pursuant to the earlier recall.
WHAT THE MANUFACTURER WILL DO
At this time, neither LeMans nor the fabricating manufacturer offers a wheel for this fitment that could serve as a replacement for the New Recalled Wheels. Therefore, LeMans has concluded that the only appropriate remedy to address this defect is to provide a refund to the customer. We have instructed your dealer to reimburse you the price you paid for the Original Recalled Wheel and any costs incurred in removing the defective wheel from your bike and installing a new replacement wheel.

REASON FOR THIS RECALL
LeMans Corporation, d/b/a Drag Specialties (“LeMans”) has decided, based on information provided by the fabricating manufacturer, that a defect related to motor vehicle safety exists in certain Drag Specialties Replacement Laced Wheels. This notice applies to chrome, rear, 16” x 3.00” size wheels, Part No. 0204-0369, manufactured from June 1, 2021, through November 30, 2021 (“Recalled Wheels”). (An earlier recall – NHTSA Recall No 21E-054 – applied to Part No. 0204-0369 wheels manufactured from July 1, 2019, through June 1, 2021). Specifically, the holes for the spokes in the hub of some of these wheels are misaligned, which could cause wheel failure resulting in a crash without warning, increasing the risk of injury or death.
WHAT LEMANS WILL DO
At this time, neither LeMans nor the fabricating manufacturer offers a wheel for this fitment that could serve as a replacement for the Recalled Wheels. Therefore, LeMans has concluded that the only appropriate remedy to address this defect – as well as the defect covered by Recall No. 21E-054 – is to provide a refund to the customer of the full purchase price that he or she paid, as well as any costs incurred in removing the defective wheel and installing a new replacement wheel. We will reimburse you the price that you paid for the wheel, as well as any removal and installation costs.

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO
1. If you are still in possession of wheels covered by this recall, you should immediately cease all sales of these wheels and return them to LeMans. Please contact LeMans by phone at (800) 369-1000 (please enter Prompt #1 for “Dealer Services”), or by email at [email protected], for instructions on how to return the Recalled Wheels that remain in your unsold inventory.
2. LeMans has prepared a letter to be sent to all purchasers of the Recalled Wheels that notifies them of this defect and instructs them to contact a dealer to obtain a refund. We have prepared a similar letter to be sent to all customers who received one of the Recalled Wheels pursuant to Recall No. 21E-054. A copy (or copies) of the appropriate letter(s) to be sent to your customer(s) is enclosed. Please promptly send a copy of the appropriate letter to each person who purchased one of the Recalled Wheels from your dealership or received a Recalled Wheel pursuant to the prior recall, using one of the enclosed postage prepaid envelopes, and please keep a record of to whom those letters are sent. If you do not have the name and mailing address of those customers who received a Recalled Wheel from your dealership, please advise LeMans of that fact, along with the number of such unidentifiable customers, and any contact information you may have for those customers.
3. If you are contacted by the owner of a Part No. 0204-0369 motorcycle wheel who received the notification letter referred to in the previous paragraph, please do the following.
a. Please remind the owner to immediately stop riding on the Recalled Wheel.
b. Ask the owner to return the Recalled Wheel to you to obtain a refund.
c. If an owner advises you that he or she is not able to remove the wheel and/or bring it to the dealership, please make arrangements to pick up the motorcycle from the owner and have it brought to you (LeMans will reimburse you for the costs of these arrangements as well as any costs associated with the arrangements referred to in subparagraph g).
d. Remove the wheel from the customer’s motorcycle.
e. If a replacement wheel has been obtained by/for the customer, install the new wheel.
f. Refund the consumer’s purchase price.
g. After the Recalled Wheel has been replaced, make arrangements to have the motorcycle picked up by, or returned to, the owner.
Please note that the procedures set out in this paragraph also apply if you are contacted by the owner of a wheel covered by Recall No. 21E-054 that had not been replaced with a new wheel pursuant to that earlier recall.
4. If you are contacted by the owner of a Part No. 0204-0369 motorcycle wheel who did NOT receive a notification letter, but who learned of this recall in some other manner, please ask the owner when he or she purchased and received the wheel to determine whether the wheel is covered by this recall. If the owner does not know the date of purchase and receipt, please check your records to attempt to identify that date. If the wheel was shipped by LeMans after August 21, 2019, or if neither you nor the owner can confirm when the wheel was shipped by LeMans, the wheel will be considered to be covered by either this recall or Recall No. 21E-054, and you should proceed as set forth in Paragraph 3, above. However, if you determine that the wheel was shipped by LeMans

prior to August 21, 2019, please advise the owner that the wheel is not covered by either this recall or the prior recall.
5. Please return all wheels that you remove or receive from your customer under these recalls to LeMans. Please contact LeMans by phone at (800) 369-1000 (Prompt #1), or by email at [email protected], for instructions on how to return those wheels.
6. Please also contact LeMans for instructions on how to submit a request for credit.
Please be advised that it is a violation of Federal law to sell any new or used item of motor vehicle equipment covered by this notification until the defect has been remedied.

If you are still in possession of any of the New Recalled Wheels, you should immediately cease all sales of those wheels and return any remaining inventory to LeMans for destruction, using a prepaid UPS shipping label to be provided by LeMans. LeMans will credit your account for the full cost of such a wheel upon receipt of the wheel. Please note that it is a violation of Federal law to sell or deliver a wheel covered by this defect determination.
2. Please contact all customers to whom you have provided one or more of the New Recalled Wheels (either as a replacement for an Original Recalled Wheel or as a new sale) to immediately notify them of this defect and to ask them to not ride a motorcycle equipped with a New Recalled Wheel.
At this time, neither LeMans nor the fabricating manufacturer offers a wheel for this fitment that could serve as a replacement for the New Recalled Wheels. Therefore, LeMans has concluded that the only appropriate remedy to address this defect is to provide a refund to the customer. Owners of the New Recalled Wheels will be asked to return their wheel to their dealer to receive a refund of the full purchase price they paid for the wheel (either the price of an Original Recalled Wheel or of a New Recalled Wheel, as applicable). Dealers will be asked to return the recalled wheels to LeMans for destruction, using a prepaid UPS shipping label to be provided by LeMans. Upon receipt of the wheel,
LeMans will credit you the amount that you paid for the wheel. LeMans will also cover any labor costs to remove the recalled wheel and to install a new replacement wheel.
If the owner of a New Recalled Wheel is not able to remove the wheel and bring it to the dealership, LeMans will reimburse the cost to pick up the motorcycle from the owner and return it.
You may want to conduct research to identify alternative wheel options from other sources that you could offer the owner of a recalled wheel.
LeMans is working with NHTSA to finalize written correspondence providing formal notification of this recall to owners. After NHTSA has approved the owner notification letter, you will be sent copies of that letter for you to send to your customers. In the meantime, we ask that you do the above.

LeMans was informed that spokes had broken in another replacement wheel.
Upon learning of the second issue, LeMans contacted the fabricating manufacturer. On March 15, 2022, the
fabricating manufacturer informed LeMans that some of the hubs of 0204 0369 wheels were welded
improperly and indicated that wheels manufactured after June 1, 2021 should be recalled.
Based upon that information, LeMans decided to conduct a safety recall to address this defect.
Description of Remedy :
Description of Remedy Program : Because neither LeMans nor the fabricating manufacturer offers a wheel
that could serve as a replacement for the recalled wheels, LeMans will
offer to refund the full purchase price of the wheel, as well as any labor
costs associated with removing the wheel and/or installing a replacement
wheel obtained by the owner from another source.

On or about March 4, 2022, LeMans was advised that some number of spokes had broken in a Part No.
0204-0369 rear wheel that had been provided as a replacement remedy in connection with recall 21E-054.
LeMans requested photos of the wheel and asked to have the wheel returned to LeMans. Shortly afterward,
