Fuel Tubes May Crack and Leak Fuel
A high pressure fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Summary
Watson Hopper (Watson Hopper) is recalling certain X12 Power Modules. The fuel tubes between the fuel rail and the injector for cylinders 4, 5 and 6 may be susceptible to cracking, resulting in a high pressure fuel leak.
Remedy
On engines with 75 miles or less, Cummins
dealers will install vibration isolators to the fuel tubes. Engines with more than 75 miles will receive new fuel tubes with vibration isolators, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 21, 2022. Owners may contact Watson Hopper customer service at 1-970-874-7410.

January 10th 2022 Watson Hopper became aware of the fuel line defect after getting confirmation form Cummins
Inc, that they would be conducting a recall on the X12 engines.
March 21st 2022 Watson Hopper was informed by NHTSA that they would have to submit a defect report. Watson Hopper has not had any reports of defects or incidents from our customers related to this issue.
March 25th 2022 Watson Hopper filed a safety recall with NHTSA after NHTSA informed Watson Hopper they would need to do so.

Description of Remedy Program : Watson Hopper will not be able to provide the recall completion rates
quarterly reports. That information will need to be obtained from Michael
Forman with Cummins
Inc.
How Remedy Component Differs
from Recalled Component :
The replacement fuel tubes will also have vibration isolators. The fuel tube
and vibration isolator combination will have a new part number.
Identify How/When Recall Condition
was Corrected in Production :
Cummins
has changed the injector alignment to the cylinder head was
improved by implementing an improved alignment fixture during engine
assembly and vibration isolators were added to the fuel tubes during
engine assembly on November 2, 2021.

Description of Recall Schedule : Watson Hopper does not have any dealers or distributors to notify only
it’s customers. Watson Hopper expects to notify their owners of the X12
Cummins
engines no later then April 18th 2022 who are potentially
affected by this recall.

Description of Remedy Program : Per the Cummins
recall C2532: The subject fuel tubes for cylinders 4, 5 and
6 (the rear half of the engine) will be replaced with new fuel tubes (having
the same part number as the recalled components) and vibration isolators
will be added to the fuel tubes. Watson Hopper will working with our four
customers who own the X12 power modules to ensure they receive
prompt support from Cummins
. Watson Hopper wants to ensure a
properly trained Cummins
representative completes the recall work
outlined in the Cummins
safety recall. Cummins
Inc. will be responsible for
any reimbursement to owners of the X12 Cummins
engines.
