IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL THIS NOTICE APPLIES TO YOUR VEHICLE VIN 56YTT2420NLXXXXXX – 56YTT2127NLXXXXXX RECALL #2022-0412 NHTSA # 22V201 April 2022 Dear Valued Lance Camper Customer: This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Lance Camper Mfg. Corp. Has decided that a safety defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain model year 2022- 1685, 1985, 1995, 2185, 2445 Lance Trailers. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? On certain Lance Truck Campers affected by this recall, Truma water heater, Data cable is routed through the cold water inlet located at the rear of the water heater and could rest on the burner box. Data cable could short and potentially cause a fire. WHAT SHOULD YOU DO? Do not use the Truma water heater until the data cable has been inspected and corrected. Include with this notice are instructions and parts to correct the defect. If you wish to make the corrections yourself, follow the instructions carefully. Once you have completed the repair or had an authorized Lance Camper dealer do the repair, please fill out the “Compliance Recall Only “section located on the left-hand side of the enclosed prepaid self-addressed reply card with the appropriate boxes marked. Sign and date the reply card where noted and place in the mail. WHAT WILL LANCE DO? With your continued satisfaction in mind, if you do not feel comfortable making this repair, contact an authorized Lance Camper dealer to make an appointment to have the work performed at no charge to you. The repair will take approximately 60 minutes to complete.
