Chronology :
Following a revision of the installation instructions, a discrepancy was discovered. Further analysis allowed us to discover that between 2018 and 2020, the GenQ seats equipped with Type 2 seat belts installation instruction did not include a washer that appeared in later instructions.
Tests were performed to validate whether the 2018-2020 hardware was sufficient. After analysis, it was decided on April 21, 2022, to recall vehicles built during the identified period and designed with GenQ seats equipped with Type 2 seat belts.
We have received no claim, nor any accident, injury or fatality has been reported to Micro Bird regarding this situation.
