Manufacturer: Dometic Defect: The burner may have incurred abrasions, internal ly on the mating metal sealing surfaces of the burner control valve which may have led to leaks. Remedy: Contact Dometic through their recall program and they will furnish you with a new replacement cooktop similar to the one being recalled. You will need to provide Dometic with the model and serial number of the defective part. They will also reimburse the labor for replacement to qualified technicians. Reimbursement to the qualified RV technician will be made once Dometic receives the recall response card documenting the replacement has been made. TrailManor has decided that a defect which relates to vehicle safety, exists in certain 2021-2022 2518 series travel trailers with the Dometic 2 burner cooktop model CE99 and Pl8022 series cooktops Certain Dometic 2 burner cooktops may have incurred abrasions on the metal sealing surfaces of the burner control va lve which may lead to leaks, increasing the risk of fire. Take your travel trailer to a qualified Dometic rv dealer for replacement. The dealer will replace the cooktop free of charge. The repair will take approximately one to two hours. Due to scheduling the dealer may require your unit longer, he will be able to give you a more accurate timeframe.
