Riverside RV has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain 2023 Retro, Intrepid, and Explorer travel trailers, with the VIN shown below: Vin lndentification Number: It has been decided that vehicles in the recall population were built with certain Lippert Retractable Awnings, up to 18 feet in length that the heat-welded seam may separate, causing the awning to drop which can increase the risk of injury. Due to the possibility that the heat-welded seam on the awning on your recreational vehicle may separate, Riverside RV is issuing a recall notice for the affected units. Below you will find the details of the defect information: Manufactured Date: Defect: The heat-welded seam on certain Lippert Retractable Awnings may separate. Riverside RV dealers will inspect the awning for any defect, and replace the awning as necessary (see Lippert Awning Inspection and Weld/Seam Repair Instructions). The repair will be done free of charge. The repair will take approximately XX minutes/hours.
