Recall 172 Incorrect Tire Size on Label – 2023 Winnebago Revel Camper Vans

INSTRUCTIONS TO PERFORM CAMPAIGN 172
Models Affected:
Certain 2023 model year Winnebago Industries Revel® (B-Series) motor homes. These motor homes were manufactured May 12, 2022 through July 29, 2023.
Kit Includes:
• (1) Tire and Loading Information Label
• (1) Winnebago Altered Vehicle Label
• Instructions
Procedure:
The affected vehicles were produced with an incorrect Tire and Loading information label (Label – 1) and mistakenly had a Certification Label (Label – 2) installed vs the required Winnebago Altered vehicle label (Label – 3). Both Labels are located inside the driver’s side door jamb, on the forward face of the B-Pillar.
These labels must be removed or covered with the correct one.

Incorrect: Certification Label (Label 2)
* Installed on vehicle 1. Remove and discard existing Tire and Loading Information Label, this will reveal the OEM chassis manufacturer’s Tire Inflation Pressure Label. See Photos A and B A B 2. Clean the OEM label face with isopropyl alcohol and cover the OEM Tire Inflation Pressure Label with the new Tire and Loading Information Label (Label 1). See Photo C C Instructions to perform Recall Campaign 172 – Pg.2 3. Locate the Certification Label (Label – 2), clean the label face with isopropyl alcohol and cover it with the new Winnebago Altered Vehicle Label (label – 3) See Photo D.
After the new Winnebago Altered Vehicle Label is installed, please complete the enclosed pre-addressed postage paid postcard and mail to Winnebago Industries®.

Winnebago Industries has decided that certain 2023 Winnebago Revel models fail to comply with FMVSS 110 due to an incorrect tire size listed. The tire is listed as R16 when actual tire size is R17. FMVSS 1 : 110 – Tire selection and rims FMVSS 2 : NR
Description of the Safety Risk : Using an incorrect tire size may increase the risk of a crash.
Description of the Cause : At model year changeover, the correct tire size was not entered in the production software and as a result the incorrect tire size was printed on the label. Identification of Any Warning NR

In late July 2022, production identified that the tire label had the incorrect tire size listed. An investigation was opened to understand scope and consequence. The Product Safety Committee met on 1/24/2023 to review the findings of the investigation and determined that a non-compliance with a Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard was present on vehicles in commerce. Description of Remedy :
Description of Remedy Program : Reimbursement request will fall under the general reimbursement plan on
file with NHTSA. The correct label will be sent to the customer in the recall notice along with instructions. How Remedy Component Differs from Recalled Component : The remedy label will call out the correct R17 tire size. Identify How/When Recall Condition was Corrected in Production : Production software was revised to include the 17” rim option. Recall Schedule :
