Summary
Kibbi, LLC (Kibbi) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Renegade RV Classic, Explorer, and XL Motorhomes. The entry door latch may fail and not allow entry or exit.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the door latch, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 28, 2023. Owners may contact Kibbi customer service at 1-574-966-0196.

Lippert
determined an issue which relates to motor vehicle safety may exist in certain entry doors for motorized RV product built with Global Link Motorized Rotary Latch MRL-41210-2006.
Lippert informed Renegade RV and Rev Recreation Group on 2/23/2023 of their decision to file equipment recall 23E-008 with NHTSA. Renegade and REV Recreation Group began an investigation into the units affected and compiled a list of potentially affected vehicles.

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Renegade RV has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in certain 2022-2023 Classics, Explorer, and XL’s.
What is the issue: Lippert has conducted a thorough investigation and determined an issue which relates to motor vehicle safety may exist in certain entry doors for motorized RV products built with Global Link Motorized Rotary Latch MRL-41210-2006. There is the possibility the latch may malfunction and pose an issue with exit from the motorhome. Lippert has filed an equipment recall with NHTSA 23E-008.
What is the safety risk: There is the possibility the latch may malfunction and pose an issue with exit from the motorhome, increasing the risk of injury during an emergency.
Identify any warning which can precede or occur: Latch will not operate. Cannot open door from inside the coach.
What is the cause: Defective part.
What is the Remedy: At no cost to the customer, Inspect the involved component as outlined on the attached instructions If an issue is found, you or your dealer must complete the outlined repair at NO CHARGE to the CUSTOMER. The remedy is expected to take 0.3 hr. to inspect, 0.7 hr. for the inspection and latch replacement. We have been notified by Lippert there is a possibility the Motorized Rotary Latch MRL-41210-2006 used in
the entry door on the Classic, Explorer, XL, and Verona LE, could malfunction and pose an issue with
exiting the motorhome. The latch will need inspected outlined on the attached instructions and submit a
claim documenting to Lippert for the inspection and verification of no issue found for payment of 0.3 hr. for
the inspection labor charges. If an issue is found, you or your dealer must complete the outlined repair for
payment of 0.7 hr. for the inspection and latch replace labor charges. Lippert’s Customer Service department

As a Renegade dealer you can show this unit on your dealer lot, however, it cannot be sold or delivered to a
retail customer until the inspection and or remedy has been performed.
